Apple refreshing the MacBook Air this week?
Posted on May 10, 2010 | No Comments
The Macbook Air needs some help. It's woefully underpowered compared to every other ultraportable and its advertised 5 hour battery life is nothing special these days as the new MacBook Pros can rock-out twice as long. But just maybe Apple has something in store for the razer-thin notebook as soon as this week.

Apple refreshing the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air line next week?
Posted on April 8, 2010 | No Comments
Nicholas just voiced a valid question in the always-entertaining but private CrunchGear chatroom, "Why would I pay $1,500 for a Core 2 Duo in 2010?" He then answered it by saying, "I wouldn't." Well said, sir. Apple's current crop of notebooks are a slap in the face to its customers, but maybe Apple will finally catch up to HP, Dell, Acer, Gateway, Lenovo, Alienware, Asus, MSI, Sony, and Toshiba next week if this rumor pans out.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 Now Available for iPhones Everywhere
Posted on April 7, 2010 | No Comments
I have fond memories of playing Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 on my PlayStation back in high school. I remember trading stories with friends about the biggest tricks I'd pulled, and being astounded at the scores that "a friend of their's" could pull in a single trick. I remember single-mindedly trying to beat those trick scores, re-starting a level each time I bailed so that I could achieve that perfect run. Sadly for me, no other Tony Hawk game that I've played has been able to capture that magic. So I was very pleased to find out that that classic of classics, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, has now been released for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

It really is, but yet I’m here perpetuating the hype with this Macworld instructional video on how to make a paper iPad. I’m clearly driving the bus to hell. This could be great fun if you use the Daniel Tosh video after the jump as a [...] -
HyBrid enclosure to hold SSD and standard drives
Posted on February 26, 2010 | No Comments
Raidon showed off their new HyBrid drive enclosure recently, a strange combination of an SSD drive enclosure and a SATA enclosure. It's not an external device mind you, but rather an internal drive cage that will read and write to the SSD, and then mirror the process to the SATA drive.

Remember MacWorld? Here’s Cali Lewis’ look back
Posted on February 16, 2010 | No Comments
Good thing we didn't go to MacWorld this year. The show has been petering out and considering the Apple keynote was the biggest thing there - and is now gone - it's hard to justify the trip. Oh well.
Cali Lewis just did her "Best of Show" video - and got a new haircut? - so I present it here for your edification.
Video after the jump.

Video: Kevin Smith at Macworld 2010 (VERY NSFW, but VERY funny)
Posted on February 12, 2010 | No CommentsForget Steve Jobs, Macworld 2010 featured Kevin Smith who spoke about iPads, the movie industry, and, his new film, Cop Out, as shown in the video above. Please, DO NOT watch this video at work or place of worship. You’ll either be fired or excommunicated. This ten minute clip is just part of his Macworld [...]
