    PRW-5000: Casio updates its Protrek sports watch line

    Back in February 2009, we reported about Casio adding the PRX-2000T to its Protrek series of watches for sports and trekking enthusiasts. And today, about one year later, Casio announced [JP] the Protrek PRW-5000/PRW-5000T, which at $630 ($780 for the 5000T) is considerably cheaper than its $1,000 predecessor.     Conan O’Brien, NBC reach deal: Conan leaves Tonight Show with $45 million, can start a new show later this year

    Game over, friends. NBC just released a statement saying it had reached a deal with Conan O'Brien that sees him bumped off The Tonight Show and bumped into a large sack of money worth $45 million. Of that $45 million, Conan will keep $33 million, the rest of which will go to his 200+ person staff as severance. Conan's free to start a new show as of September, 2010. Oh, and Leno comes back to The Tonight Show on March 1.

    The free Win7 RC train ride ends tomorrow

    Hey, guys. If you haven't downloaded the Windows 7 RC yet, you better do it soon. The free offer expires on August 20, 2009 - tomorrow. Sure, it's not free forever as this release will turn off by itself every two hours starting March 1, 2010, but it's a hell of a lot better than Vista. I have been running it as my main OS on two systems since it was released and it's pretty much bulletproof.
