Late Mate for BlackBerry screws with your clock to make you more punctual
Posted on May 21, 2010 | No CommentsI run late. Always. The last time I remember being not-late, it’s because I thought the event started 30 minutes earlier than it actually did. I ended up only being 15 minutes early. If you’re a late person (or if you’ve seen that one episode of I love Lucy), you’ve probably heard of the trick where [...] -

Short Version: A bit of a twist on traditional induction chargers, Case-mate’s “Hug Wireless Charging Pad and Case” attempts to offset its $100 price tag by adhering to the Wireless Power Consortium’s universal charging standard, which promises interoperability with other charging pads and devices that are developed using the same technology.

Video Review: Case-Mate Barely There
Posted on September 25, 2009 | No Comments
It's $29.99, it's thin, and it can hold two credit cards. It's the Case-Mate Barely There ID case. I've always wanted to stop carrying a wallet and I'm not sure this is quite the solution I'm looking for but it may work for those who just need one credit card and driver's license at all times.
If only they added a big old money clip in there or maybe a special wallet just for special stuff? Sadly, you'll never be able to be as bad ass as this with an iPhone in a plastic case. Two videos after the jump.

Case-Mate’s fully customizable and recyclable iPhone case
Posted on September 11, 2009 | No CommentsSeriously, this case offers a lot for next to nothing. Not only can you bedazzle it anyway you want, but when you’re done with it, just throw it in with your recycling. Plus it’s only $0.99 or 10 for $8. But the fun doesn’t stop there. We all know that the iPhone is a mugger beacon. [...] -
Video Review: Bleep Labs Thingamagoop
Posted on May 27, 2009 | No Comments
What do you get when a Kaossilator and a Chumby mate? How about the Thingamagoop from Bleep Labs? This little bugger has an LED, a photo-resistor, and some knobs and it makes a lot of noise. What kind of noise? Noise-rock noise, which could put a damper on my plans to add this to the woodwind section in the orchestra playing my new opus, the iPhone Sonata in D Minor.
The website has a collection of sample sounds to show you what this thing is capable of which, it turns out, is a series of piercing squawks.
We're not entirely sure this thing exists in real life. The G-mate Gun Overlord just seems a bit too glorious. Even the video after the jump isn't enough proof. If it is real though, watch out, it could be awesome. Unless of course it's not and actually really lame.
