Sirius XM Android app hits the Market
Posted on May 28, 2010 | No CommentsThat's right, we're downloading the brand new Sirius XM app to our favorite, not-at-all-fragmented Android handset as we speak. Sure, we don't actually have a paid satellite radio subscription, but if you hit up the source link you can sign up for 7 days free while you multitask it up against Robo Defense on your own phone. There's no mention on the download page of specific handset compatibility, so let us know if you have any trouble running the app on that Motoblur phone your mom bought you.
[Thanks to everyone who sent this in]Sirius XM Android app hits the Market originally appeared on Engadget on Fri, 28 May 2010 12:50:00 EST. Please see our terms for use of feeds.

This young man willingly gets an Apple tattoo. And you call us fanboys?
Posted on May 18, 2010 | No Comments
Look, I love my iPad as much as the next guy and, just like the next guy, if I had to make the choice between food and water and the iWork suite, I'd probably go for the iWork suite. However, I would not tattoo the Apple logo onto my shoulder.
Billy Hime, a self-professed "iPhone Owner," "shameless flirt," and "Youtube Video Blogger" filmed himself getting his tattoo with his mom. He also wrote on Twitter that "Lotion=burning my Apple," a comment on what we can only assume to be the effects of the antiseptic on his tattoo and not a euphemism for something else.

Don’t let taste stand in the way of buying a crystal iPhone stand
Posted on May 17, 2010 | No Comments
Are you the kind of person who has to have the best of everything? Two-ply toilet paper? Nice plastic plates? The best mixture of Alpo and brown gravy spread liberally onto your chest as a libido suppressant? Then you're going to need the Calypso Crystal iPhone stands.
These stands, which range from $199 to $349 for the Aurora model, are made of leaded crystal and take "15 days to make" in Central Europe. The sad thing is that these are actually probably made in Poland where leaded crystal is actually quite popular (my mom collects it, incidentally, but I doubt she wants these.)

Review: Aluratek Libre eBook Reader PRO
Posted on April 14, 2010 | No CommentsShort Version The hardware is a little old but the fact you can by a fairly capable ebook reader for under $150 is an interesting thing, especially in this overpriced world of iPads, Nooks, and Kindles. A great device for those who want to experience the ereader revolution with no frills. Because this device is so old [...] -
AquaAntics Water Bomb Factory is genius, should win an international peace award
Posted on March 29, 2010 | No Comments
I guarantee that the outside water spigot at my mom's house has weathered rings left over from water balloons. There just isn't a fool-proof way to fill up the balloons on a naked spigot. Sure, there are those little nozzles that thread on, but those don't work well either. But the AquadAntics Water Bomb Factory is just what the name implies: a venerable water balloon factory. You have to see this thing in action. It's set to revolutionize summer time. Click through for the video.

Netgear’s Universal Wi-Fi Internet adapter is a gift from the gods
Posted on March 1, 2010 | No Comments
Today's TVs, Blu-ray players, game consoles, and even AV receivers crave access to the Internet, but most will never get the pleasure of the 'Net. Why? Because Mom and Pop don't wanna run a CAT-5 cable through their house and power line adapters are about as reliable as two tin cans connected with string. But now there's this: Netgear's Universal Wi-Fi adapter.

TiVo sez Doritos commercial was the biggest hit in the Super Bowl
Posted on February 8, 2010 | No CommentsThanks to TiVo, we have a pretty good idea of what the most popular commercials from last night's Super Bow. Survey says: that Doritos commercial with the little kid telling his mom's date to keep his hands off his mother (fat chance!) and off his Doritos. America is a peculiar little country, isn't it, cheese-flavored chips and light beer as far as the eye can see.

Holy wow! AT&T admits NYC/San Fran 3G service sucked
Posted on January 28, 2010 | No CommentsA recent AT&T earnings call consisted of a lot of talk talk talk but one slide stands out: it essentially admits that 3G in San Francisco and New York sucked ween AKA were both far below their official performance objective. Although I can’t figure out what the actual “Performance Objective” truly is based on this slide, [...]
