Avatar online ticket sales taking over
Posted on December 17, 2009 | No Comments
So it's sounding like Avatar is going to be breaking some records (shocking, I know). What record is pending you ask? Online ticket sales. Ok, maybe it's not biggest movie ever, or most special effects, but it's still pretty damn impressive.

Honda makes the ultimate Paperboy gaming system
Posted on November 23, 2009 | No Comments
Bicycle safety wasn't an issue for me growing up. I lived in a quiet suburban subdivision on a cul-de-sac. Plus, my mom is an insurance agent and so she made sure that I always had the latest safety equipment. (E.g. shin pads, wrist pads, elbow pads, helmet, gloves, and a cup) It's a damn good thing that Honda didn't make this bicycle simulator back in the Eighties. She would have shipped the thing in from Japan, and I would have never been able to leave the house.

TransferJet demo at Sony’s CEATEC booth
Posted on October 7, 2009 | No Comments
John mentioned TransferJet briefly during the Toshiba press conference at IFA in September. It's a wireless data transfer system. It's different from Bluetooth in that there's no pairing required. It's also extremely limited in range -- like, two inches or less -- so there's less need to worry about someone sending pr0n to your mom's TransferJet-enabled television. Sony's got a live demo of TransferJet at their CEATEC booth, and I've got to admit that it's pretty cool -- and fast!

Oh, Mom, you have so much to learn
Posted on October 1, 2009 | No CommentsMy lovely mother just got her first BlackBerry a few weeks ago and has since enjoyed texting me. I noticed something today. She always laughs out loud at the end of every text. So I asked her about it. Apparently LOL means “Lots Of Love.” Yup, I have the cutest mom in history. Update from Mom: [...] -
