First look: BFG Deimos gaming laptop
Posted on October 27, 2009 | No CommentsWe just got a BFG Deimos in today, and it is big, shiny, and competing against Alienware's M17x. So far, I can tell you that it's a bit lighter then the Alienware, but (unscientifically speaking) about equal as far as speed. We'll be doing a full review in the upcoming weeks, but I wanted to share some pictures and first impressions with you today.

Review and Giveaway: Razer Sphex mousepad
Posted on June 20, 2009 | No CommentsQuickie: A paper-thin gaming mouse pad that stays in place thanks to a sticky backside and a surface that really does improve mouse tracking. And the Razer Shpex is only $15. I love this mousepad. So much that I might marry it. My desk is set at a height that standard gaming mousepads elevate my mouse just enough [...] -
Laptop sleeve features built-in mouse pad
Posted on June 19, 2009 | No Comments
File this one under "Ideas, Good" and wonder why is hasn't been done before. Actually it may very-well have been done before but just in case it hasn't, here's a padded laptop sleeve that, when opened, provides a nice big mousepad.
Attention to detail is a character quality that most people live without. Even most companies lack it. However, there are some times when you see a new product that just takes detail to the next level. If you can appreciate such craft, then check out this mouse pad.
Here's a pretty easy DIY project, for someone so inclined. I'll be honest, after checking around a bit on the price of commercial teflon mouse pads, I'm not sure why you'd want to take the time to make one. Essentially the project is this: take a teflon surface like a cookie sheet, baking pan, or skillet, and then modify it to the right size, and then finish the edges so you don't injure yourself.
As far as combining your love for keeping your mousing hand warm with your love for hamburgers is concerned, it looks like there are really only two options right now. One: you could buy this “Hamburger Warming Mouse Pad” for $15. Two: you could cook up a gigantic hamburger and stick your hand inside it. Keep in mind that you'd also have to stick your mouse inside it, so make sure to check with your workplace regulations to make sure that's okay.
Look at that photo. All of that is edible, and likely delicious. The mouse, the iPhone, the MacBook Pro, all of it. The pens, the Post-It notes, the mouse pad, all made of sweet, sweet cake.
