First DJ iPhone app lets you mix beats without listening to them.
Posted on November 24, 2009 | No CommentsIf we applied Moore's law to the art of DJing, we would probably get something like Amidio's Touch DJ app. Gone are the software disk jockeys who replaced the original vinyl selectors. Now you can spin beats on your iPhone or iPod touch without listening to them. Wait, what? -

Secret folder automatically adds content to iTunes
Posted on September 11, 2009 | No Comments
Well this is a fine kettle of fish: Apple has added a secret folder to our file systems that essentially sucks any content inside into iTunes. The watched folders are:
~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music/Automatically Add to iTunes/ in OS X C:\Users\Your Username\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Automatically Add to iTunes\ in Windows

Keepin’ it real fake, part CCXIV: Fake iPod shuffle offers most of the minimalism, none of the perks
Posted on May 28, 2009 | No CommentsThe current generation iPod shuffle is a funny beast in its own right, but the "Clip-On Mp3 Shuffler Player" from Digital Rise really takes the form factor to new comic heights. There appear to be two physical buttons, a presumptive hold switch, and no headphone controls to speak of. At the same time, the player packs in FM radio, audio recording, an equalizer, a bevy of playback modes and even tempo adjustment. We're sure Digital Rise has solved the usability problems here with unwavering elegance.
