    To say we were a tad flabbergasted that Modern Warfare 2's 5 map pack DLC costs $15 is about right. We weren't exactly outraged. It's just a video game after all and really doesn't matter that much. But $15 is a bit much for five maps with two of the recycled from previous Call of Duty games. Infinity Ward's Creative Strategist Rob Bowling disagrees. He calls it an investment. Well, Creative Strategist is just code for Public Relations so he kind of has to say that.

    We featured a so-called leaked video showing MW2's upcoming map pack last week but had no idea when players will get access to the new maps. Activision finally came clean, though, and announced that the DLC will hit PCs first on March 30, with consoles getting it sometime afterwards. Oh, and yeah, it will be named Stimulus Package just like the rumor stated, which is a kind of appropriate name, actually.

    Remember back a couple months? The biggest news on Earth was the Infinity Ward and Activision Blizzard screwed up MW2 and the game was going to fall into a bucket of fail. There were boycotts, petitions, and general chaos concerning the shooter. Then it launched. Then people started playing it in droves. Then people shut-up and within two months the title surpassed $1,000,000,000 in retail sales.

    modern-warfare-2 It's finally here! Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is finally legally available in the US through special midnight release parties tonight. People can't seem to stop tweeting about the game, as "Modern Warfare 2" is now a trending topic on Twitter. Whether people have already gotten the game or are waiting in ridiculously long lines, people have something to say about CoD:MW2.

    So to recap: nobody has been given permission to sell Modern Warfare 2 early. It's a crazy Internet rumor that has no basis in reality. But it's happening like whoa. What is based in reality is that the first reviews of the game have started appearing online, and they're all from UK newspapers. A strange place to see the first reviews of what's probably going to end up being the biggest game of the year (with all due respect to Assassin's Creed II).

    There's two new Xbox 360 bundles that you ought to be made aware of. One, which was announced a few days ago (we're sorta short staffed this week), is the Modern Warfare 2 bundle. It includes a MW2 branded Xbox, a 250GB hard drive (ooh!), and two wireless controllers. Oh, and a copy of the game. Total price: $399.
