Screw cooking with gas, I wanna cook with lasers
Posted on June 9, 2009 | No Comments
When appliance heavyweight Electrolux has a design contest, you know there's going to be some crazy stuff coming out it. This year is no exception, as designer Ludovic Peperstraete has come up with his "Cooking in the Futur" design, which suggests that 90 years from now we'll be using laser beams to cook food instead of gas or convection ovens.
Do you hear me? Lasers, people!

Steve could come back to WWDC this Monday
Posted on June 5, 2009 | 1 Comment
A guy who knows a guy at Apple says he saw a guy who drove a guy to work who knows the kids of a guy who works with the guy who works next to the office of the guy who brings fresh ground coffee to the girl who puts water into the coffee-maker for the guy who brings the coffee and single, perfect bearclaw to Steve Jobs' sub-assistant's assistant who works next to Steve Jobs' real assistant's assistant who says he saw Steve Jobs floating (and this refutes Woz's claim that Steve is really healthy) in a huge vat while attached to "cables and other stuff" who says his sister who knows the neighbors of the Jobs family who sometimes when there's a full moon can see through the back window of the Jobs house where they say they saw Steve's holographic representation playing Jenga by controlling a nubile Vietnamese woman named Hoa using a new iTablet/mental control rig told the Wall Street Journal that either Jobs or a robot shaped like Jobs will host the WWDC keynote on Monday.

Ericsson’s fashion-forward W30 series 3G routers get detailed
Posted on May 30, 2009 | No CommentsIt's not every day that we use "Ericsson," "sexy," and "3G router" all in the same sentence, so you can understand our excitement upon learning everything there is to know about the company's new W30 and W35 models. Calling it "3G" might be an understatement, actually -- these bad boys will do a purely theoretical 7.2Mbps down and 2.0Mbps up on three hair-raising HSPA bands in addition to quadband EDGE. Both models offer 802.11b / g and four Ethernet ports for routing that high-speed WWAN data however you see fit, and the W35 ups the ante by throwing two RJ11 ports on board for VoIP connectivity. The W35 looks to be shipping in early June, so clear a nice little feng shui spot on your kitchen counter where it can sit, get friendly compliments from the neighbors, and enhance your calm.
