Wii can’t ‘deliver the cinematic experience’ needed for Modern Warfare 2
Posted on November 4, 2009 | No Comments
Poor Wii owners (I'm one of them). There will be no Modern Warfare 2 for us. In a recent interview, Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling explained that the Wii’s relatively underpowered innards in comparison to the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 make it impossible to replicate “the cinematic experience” across all platforms.

Apple Moves To Block Jailbreaking In New iPhones
Posted on October 13, 2009 | No CommentsIn the endless game of cat and mouse that is Apple vs. the jailbreak scene, the cat just put a pretty nasty gash in the mouse’s face. Button: An iPhone Game That Just May Make You Better At Your Job
Posted on August 31, 2009 | No Comments
Fans of the television show Lost will remember that a big part of season 2 revolved around the pushing of a button. Every 108 minutes you had to enter numbers and push the button or the world might end, was the line of thought. Of course, as time went on, people started to wonder if it wasn't just some psychological experiment. A new iPhone game that involves pushing a button, is a psychological exercise, of sorts.
Called Button, the game is about as simple as they come. There is a big button on the screen, and when it lights up, you push it. So why would anyone want to play that game? No, the world isn't going to end if you don't, but you will potentially miss out on some free prizes. And pushing the button may just help you get through some mundane tasks throughout your day as well.
Button was created by Blank Software, which is a side project of MobileCrunch editor Greg Kumparak.

John Carmack: Expect new game system ‘earlier rather than later’
Posted on August 11, 2009 | No CommentsLet's say you get home from work or class, you make some dinner, and sit down to play an hour or so of Game 2: The Game. You're cool with that; you have no reason to shell out $500 to buy another video game system this autumn. But, oh! Wait! What's this? John Carmack seems to think that, despite the fact that there's nothing wrong with this generation of consoles just yet, someone may announce a new video game system “earlier rather than later.”

First screenshots of Max Payne 3
Posted on June 23, 2009 | No CommentsLooks like Rockstar just hit “send” in their e-mail client, because guess what just arrived in our inbox? That's right: the first screen shots of Max Payne 3, which was first announced a few weeks ago. The new issue of Game Informer has a whole article on the game, filled with facts and information. We have no such luxury.
While it's a little bit early to be busting out the green outfits to cosplay while you wait in line at midnight, there is some information trickling out about the new Zelda game. In particular, Miyamoto is talking about gameplay.
MotionPlus, anyone?
