Hey, Sirius XM: Can you get your act together and fix your online stream? That would be neat.

Here's a “shout out” to the fine people at Sirius XM. You pay for a service with the expectation that it, you know, occasionally works as advertised, right? Not Sirius XM, the company that's fine with people overworking for years so long as they don't ask for a marginal(in the grand scheme of Howard Stern and Oprah and MLB contracts) raise! How many times per week does the online stream die? I'm thinking at least three to five times.

Hulk Hogan gets his own show on Sirius XM, brother

Whatcha gonna do, brother, when you sign a one-year contract with TNA Wrestling, but still want to keep your name in the news? You get a radio show on Sirius XM, of course, dude. That's right: starting this Monday, you, me, and anyone else with Sirius XM will be able to hear Hulk Hogan—wait, wait, Terry (I forgot, I'm shooting just like they do in TNA)—at 7pm ET on Howard 101. It's called "Hulk Hogan: Uncensored," and I'm looking forward to hearing him explain how he wrestled more than 400 nights per year back in the 1980s. Yes, he actually claimed that in his latest book. Ridiculous.

So what were the ‘Happy 2010!’ glasses like?

Happy 2010, people who count from Anno Domini using the Gregorian calendar! I greeted the new year by saying, sometime well after midnight, “Oh, it's 2010 already.” I was playing the PC version of Call of Duty 4, which is demonstrably better than the Xbox 360 version I played two years ago. But that's not the point of this here post. No, for I have one question to ask of the people who did go outside and celebrate: what were the “Happy 2010!” glasses like?

How best to solve the problem of Happy 2010 New Year’s Eve glasses?

We have a problem, Internet. You know how on New Year's Eve everyone walks around with Happy 2009 (or whatever) glasses? That bunk ain't gonna fly this year. Try wearing a 2010 pair of glasses: where are you going to look through, the 1? This is a serious situation that demands the attention of our best engineers.

Braving the weather to see New Super Mario Bros. Wii at the Nintendo World Store

New Super Mario Bros. Wii hits stores today, and it will probably be on of the biggest games of the year. (Little Tommy and Little Susie shouldn't be playing Modern Warfare 2!) To celebrate the launch of this latest Mario game, Nintendo invited its fans to the Nintendo World Store in New York yesterday. In addition to being able to buy the game a whole day early, fans could participate in a Mario tournament, get their picture taken in Mario garb, play the older games in the series, and meet Gary and Alison from Nintendo Week.

Things to do today that have nothing to do with Modern Warfare 2

I know that there's a certain of percentage of people who want nothing to do with Modern Warfare 2. It's all meatheads and explosions, right? I'm inclined to agree to a degree—Opie and Anthony were talking about the game this morning, and a real life member of the military called in and complained, “If you want to play war, why not join the Army?”—but no matter. There's plenty of things to do today that have nothing to do with the game. Let's take a look!

From the Obvious Department: Scientist says 2012 will not be the end of the world.

So we're all in agreement: the movie 2012 is terrible, and we'd all be better off if it didn't exist. What we should also acknowledge is that, no, the year 2012 will not, in and of itself, mean the death of mankind. Maybe we'll blow ourselves up before then, but 2012 isn't some magical year that you should all be afraid of.
