Hey, Sirius XM: Can you get your act together and fix your online stream? That would be neat.
Posted on June 21, 2010 | No CommentsHere's a “shout out” to the fine people at Sirius XM. You pay for a service with the expectation that it, you know, occasionally works as advertised, right? Not Sirius XM, the company that's fine with people overworking for years so long as they don't ask for a marginal(in the grand scheme of Howard Stern and Oprah and MLB contracts) raise! How many times per week does the online stream die? I'm thinking at least three to five times.

Free Sirius XM for a month? Sure, why not!
Posted on April 20, 2010 | No CommentsFree Sirius XM for a month, amigos! That is to say, free Opie & Anthony and Ron & Fez for 30 days. It's the company's latest promotional tactic to get you to pony up the $15 or whatever a month for the service. A test drive, if you will.

So what were the ‘Happy 2010!’ glasses like?
Posted on January 1, 2010 | No CommentsHappy 2010, people who count from Anno Domini using the Gregorian calendar! I greeted the new year by saying, sometime well after midnight, “Oh, it's 2010 already.” I was playing the PC version of Call of Duty 4, which is demonstrably better than the Xbox 360 version I played two years ago. But that's not the point of this here post. No, for I have one question to ask of the people who did go outside and celebrate: what were the “Happy 2010!” glasses like?

Braving the weather to see New Super Mario Bros. Wii at the Nintendo World Store
Posted on November 15, 2009 | No CommentsNew Super Mario Bros. Wii hits stores today, and it will probably be on of the biggest games of the year. (Little Tommy and Little Susie shouldn't be playing Modern Warfare 2!) To celebrate the launch of this latest Mario game, Nintendo invited its fans to the Nintendo World Store in New York yesterday. In addition to being able to buy the game a whole day early, fans could participate in a Mario tournament, get their picture taken in Mario garb, play the older games in the series, and meet Gary and Alison from Nintendo Week.

From the Obvious Department: Scientist says 2012 will not be the end of the world.
Posted on October 12, 2009 | No CommentsSo we're all in agreement: the movie 2012 is terrible, and we'd all be better off if it didn't exist. What we should also acknowledge is that, no, the year 2012 will not, in and of itself, mean the death of mankind. Maybe we'll blow ourselves up before then, but 2012 isn't some magical year that you should all be afraid of.

CNBC misrepresents Opie and Anthony iPhone 3G S interview
Posted on June 22, 2009 | No CommentsApple released the iPhone 3G S on Friday, and the world is much better off because of it. What didn't sit well with me is this CNBC segment that aired on Friday. It shows a several people clamoring over the device, saying how great it is, why they want it, etc. But fast-forward to 1:03 and you'll see Prime Time Sam Roberts from the Opie and Anthony show. Here's where the trouble starts.
