Steve Jobs’ D8 interview: the video highlights
Posted on June 2, 2010 | No CommentsSure, you read our liveblog of Steve Jobs' D8 conference -- and believe us, it's heavily quotable -- but don't you want to see and hear the Apple CEO claim HyperCard was huge in its day? Or perhaps you're more interested in his thoughts on Flash, market cap, and the iPad origins -- either way, videos are after the break, with presumably more to come from All Things D.
Update: Four new videos have been added!Continue reading Steve Jobs' D8 interview: the video highlights

Prima strategy guides now on Steam. Yup, Prima still makes strategy guides!
Posted on May 20, 2010 | No CommentsGot an e-mail from the good folks at Steam a few moments ago detailing a new feature y'all might be interested in. I mean, the only thing anyone is going to care about today is Google TV, but I'll do what I can to distract you from that for a moment. The deal is that Prima Guides are now available for use in-game. You know, via that shift+tab overlay thing.

Meizu M8 app store to become reality this month?
Posted on December 9, 2009 | No Comments
Now that Meizu is setting the M8 up with some new firmware and further turning its back on the handset's KIRFish origins, how about an app store? Apparently that's exactly what's happening, as the following video will attest. Not too many details here -- it's called MyStore, and the company is planning to split revenue with developers 30 / 70. The store is currently being tested internally, and with any luck it should see the light of day as a part of the new firmware release later this month. If you've been dying for a chance to play a Chinese knockoff of BubbleWrap, that day is finally drawing near! See for yourself after the break.Continue reading Meizu M8 app store to become reality this month?

GameStop details in-store DLC service, to be launched in 2010
Posted on November 13, 2009 | No CommentsIt seems the Internet doesn't like GameStop too much, so I'm not sure how this story will be received. The retailer announced at a conference in New York yesterday that it will launch some sort of in-store DLC service next year. That is, let's say you buy Game, then immediately buy related DLC from inside the store via a special interface. (GameStop worked with both Sony and Microsoft to figure all this out.) Then, when you get home, the DLC is ready to be added to your game.

Nasty Clamp: DIY Flash-Stand Goes Commercial
Posted on July 15, 2009 | No CommentsHere at the Lab, its certainly no secret that we like DIY solutions to gadget puzzles. Which is why we’re so pleased about the Nasty Clamp. Kodak wishes to reunite Megan Fox and the boy with the yellow rose
Posted on June 24, 2009 | No Comments
I’d imagine by now you’ve seen this picture of Megan Fox snubbing this poor little portly boy at the London premiere of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. If you haven’t then you need to get out from under the rock or watch The Soup or something.
