As I suspected, Ron from <Ron and Fez, is in Grand Theft Auto: The Ballad of Gay Tony. (Apparently East Side Dave is in another upcoming Rockstar game. Let's speculate which one!) Posted on October 5, 2009 | No CommentsWhat's wrong with sites like Hulu? Well nothing, per se, except for the fact that they can't be used anywhere outside of the Unites States. As if other countries don't want to watch... um, really great shows like “Extreme Makeover” and “The [American] Office”! Perhaps that's why, then, BitTorrent site EZTV has seen traffic double, mainly from non-American IPs, in the past year? For whatever reason, people want to watch these shows, but since there's no legal outlet to do so, well, it's not exactly hard to configure uTorrent or Transmission, now is it?

I mean, I know who she is now: she's some musician who is against piracy. Good for her, great. Years from now, Future People will erect a statue of her and put it in the middle of New York harbor in order to honor her bravery. It's the least we can do, right? Yeah, well, it seems Lily Alen isn't just brave, but she's also monumentally hypocritical. Again, good for her, I don't care.

(Not that that matters, of course.) It seems EMI is concerned about piracy. I wish I were joking. But then Sky News in the UK supposedly ran a story that said, yes, the Beatles will be available on iTunes starting tomorrow. Our take: chill out. After all, tomorrow is only a day away. We'll all get the answer then.

Posted on July 8, 2009 | No CommentsIf money is no issue, and you're looking to play 1080p content—alt.binaries.hdtv.h264 says hi—on your big screen TV, you really ought to look into getting a proper PC, one with one of those fancy nVidia GPU that you can use to hardware accelerate said Blu-ray rips. That being said, it looks like LaCie just came out with a stand-alone device that should play most of the HD content you “find” online. Oh, it's called the LaCinema Rugged HD, and LaCie wants $350 for it.

But now that The Pirate Bay, as far as I'm concerned, long gone, what are you gonna do? Will its “reboot” cause you to change your pirating ways, or will you merely move on to the next service and/or Web site?
