Me hanging with Nate Lanxon and Randall B on TechVi… in 3D!

Just had a nice little interview with Randall of TechVi and Nate of CNET about 3D TV. My dream 3D kit? Something like the Death Star simulation on board the Rebel ship in Star Wars. My nightmare kit? Watching someone play a 3D video game when there’s only one pair of glasses in the house.

Tokyo Game Show: Metal Gear Solid – Peace Walker (2 videos)

One of the biggest titles of this year's Tokyo Game Show is certainly Metal Gear Solid - Peace Walker for the PSP. And it's all about multiplayer. I was able to play the game with a friend (in co-op mode) for about 15 minutes and it completely rocked (the game was playable for the first time). In fact, up to four players could play at the same time (and some TGS guests did).

    Fallout Holocaust: Experiments in ultra-violence

Sandbox games are nothing new, but in general, most players try to play the game in the way the designers intended: be good, complete quests, and reach the eventual end of the game in an orderly fashion. Button: An iPhone Game That Just May Make You Better At Your Job

lost_2030_2Fans of the television show Lost will remember that a big part of season 2 revolved around the pushing of a button. Every 108 minutes you had to enter numbers and push the button or the world might end, was the line of thought. Of course, as time went on, people started to wonder if it wasn't just some psychological experiment. A new iPhone game that involves pushing a button, is a psychological exercise, of sorts. Called Button, the game is about as simple as they come. There is a big button on the screen, and when it lights up, you push it. So why would anyone want to play that game? No, the world isn't going to end if you don't, but you will potentially miss out on some free prizes. And pushing the button may just help you get through some mundane tasks throughout your day as well. Button was created by Blank Software, which is a side project of MobileCrunch editor Greg Kumparak.

BioShock movie drops Pirates of the Caribbean director

Any hope you had of the BioShock movie not being a total piece of garbage can now safely be thrown out the window, onto a pile of pointy things that hurt a lot. The movie has a new director in the form of Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, of 28 Weeks Later fame. He replaces Gore Verbinski, the guy who directed the fun-for-the-first-time Pirates of the Caribbean movies.

CradleVue – ’cause what’s a roadtrip without Sponge Bob

High-end portable DVD players are a scam. I know it, you know it, everyone knows it. Sure you can pick up a Walmart special for $75, but those $200 models just don't make sense when most people already have a notebook with an optical drive and a larger screen. But notebooks get hot and you might not want your little ones holding it for hours during a road trip. Enter the CradleVue.
