Posted on June 17, 2010 | No CommentsThis was truly a life-changing moment. Pro-wrestling legend Dusty Rhodes was at THQ's E3 booth today promoting the upcoming release of WWE All Stars and WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2011. And wouldn't you know it, he told me to beat it! Yes~!

WWE finally has a YouTube account (and with full episodes)
Posted on June 8, 2010 | No CommentsI must be seeing things... is that an official WWE YouTube page, and one that already has last night's episode of Monday Night Raw online? This is so unlike WWE, embracing technology. They must have hired someone new in recent weeks, someone who told them that, you know, the Internet isn't merely for “geeks” anymore.

Video: Chikara has a video game?!
Posted on April 27, 2010 | No CommentsI truly have seen everything now. Apparently Chikara, the Philadelphia-based pro-wrestling promotion that mixes lucha libre, puroresu, and general tomfoolery will be releasing its very own video game, Rudo Resurrection. ("Rudo" means "bad guy" in lucha libre lingo.) Absolutely zero details have been announced other than that it will be available for "multiple platforms."

Activision has a laugh, wants to ‘broaden’ Call of Duty franchise. Because $1 billion is too tiny.
Posted on April 19, 2010 | No CommentsIf Activision were a pro-wrestler, it would be the greatest heel of all time. Better than Ted DiBiase, better than Hollywood Hogan—it would even be better than Anderson Silva and his fantastic manager, Ed Soares. (Not that UFC is pro-wrestling, but some of the same dynamics are at work there.) The amount of heat this company generates over the most insignificant, throwaway comments—it's simply unreal. Nuclear, if you will. Take this latest remark: "We haven’t yet announced the content of [Sledgehammer, a new developer it swallowed]'s game, but it's going to be an innovative take that will further broaden the audience for Call of Duty." Yes, because a game that makes you one billion dollars isn't "broad" enough.

iPad? What were they thinking?!
Posted on January 28, 2010 | No CommentsThe iPad? What were they thinking? Didn't they consider the implications of people mocking the name? “How will Twitter react?” Doesn't Apple have a social media ninja on its payroll?

Pro Thumb Wrestling toy
Posted on September 22, 2009 | No Comments
I don't have much to do here but say the pic is self-explanatory and ask why any company would actually produce these things. But this Pro Thumb Wrestling (why "Pro"?) toy can be yours for $10 plus shipping over at Rinkya.
