WTFJeans feature special iPhone pocket, testicle padding, other weirdness
Posted on March 5, 2010 | No Comments
WTF, indeed. These “WTFJeans” have a special micro fiber-lined iPhone/iPod Touch pocket (good idea), hidden memory stick pocket (okay, I guess), and extra padding on both sides of the crotch area so that, according to the product description, “No matter whether you wear the family jewels on the right like 90 percent of guys, or whether you’re a leftie—extra padding on both sides keeps them cozy.” Again, WTF indeed.

Translation? This clock is for true nerds. Video after the jump. Monochron -
There’s a Wii game that’s just walking
Posted on February 16, 2010 | No Comments
Konami, you magnificent bastards. I’ve seen Wii fitness games before but this brings the idea to a whole new level.
Walk It Out! is a game where the goal is to… wait for it… walk around.

Supine Reading Glasses to spur recumbent reading movement
Posted on February 15, 2010 | No Comments
Sound the nerd alert: the Supine Reading Glasses from Hammacher Schlemmer let you read a book while flat on your back. That’s right, no more holding the book above your head. Just hold it upright and let the “two optical-quality glass prisms” bend your vision 90 degrees.

Cup holder, schmupholder – you need a full tray for your morning commute
Posted on February 11, 2010 | No Comments
What an odd array of breakfast items in this product shot: Egg McMuffin, sure. Apple juice, okay. Fries? You might be on to something there. Whatever the case, if you’ve been eating food out of a bag while careening down the highway on your way to work maybe it’s time to class things up a bit with this $11 Swivel Car Tray.

Cell phone has built in cigarette lighter. In other news, I have officially seen it all.
Posted on February 4, 2010 | No Comments
Straight out of China comes “The Machismo!” – billed as “the world’s hottest cigarette lighter mobile phone.” Does that mean there’s more than one? Like, are there other, lesser, not-as-hot cell phones with built-in cigarette lighters? Nothing would surprise me after seeing this.

Boots transform into boots with spikes
Posted on January 11, 2010 | No CommentsThese boots are a smart idea. I don’t know if they’re $200 smart but that’s Hammacher Schlemmer’s problem, I guess. They’re standard-looking leather boots that feature reversible cleats on the underside. So wear them outside in the winter and when it gets really icy, deploy the spikes for a nice non-slip grip.

Wii Maracas perfect for Maraca-based games
Posted on December 18, 2009 | No Comments
The product description says it all. “With the Maracas for Wii you can enjoy those Maraca based video games as if you were actually celebrating a big fiesta!” Ah yes, all those Maraca based video games.
Ghost hunters, rejoice. Not only does this $150 LED flashlight record 640x480 video at 30 frames per second, it’s also got an eight foot nightvision range that allows it to record in complete darkness.
I think I speak for everyone when I say, “IT’S ABOUT TIME!” I mean, where were you the first time you wished for a machine that could predict someone’s age range just by emitting a mosquito buzzing sound that only people in certain age ranges could hear, thus alerting you to that person’s true age? I was so young I can barely remember when I first wished this would become a reality. Now that it’s here, I can hardly believe it! All these emotions! It’s like falling in love, getting your heart broken, and going to a funeral of a coworker you never actually met but exchanged e-mails with a few times, all in a split second!
Why learn to actually use a keyboard nowadays? It’s all ROFL, LMAO, RTFM, TLDR, and GFY anyway. In that spirit -- or in the spirit of helping “hunt ‘n peck typists or novices and young beginners,” according to the product description – the $23 Fast Finger keyboard makes the complicated QWERTY layout and difficulty of typing 3-4 letter acronyms a thing of the past.
You know what you need to clean out your ears? Tools. And not tools like Q-tips.
Real tools. Motorized, mechanized, battery-using tools. Take this Cordless ear wax cleaner, for instance. It’s only ten bucks and it runs on AA batteries.
