PSN Premium rumor has the Internets shaking in its boots
Posted on May 18, 2010 | No CommentsIn my lower moments I can be found browsing various message boards, watching mere children argue over what video game console is superior, the Xbox 360 or the PS3. No, I'm not lying, sad as that may be. Eventually the PS3 supporters whip out this gem: "Yeah, well at least we don't have to pay to play online," which is a clever dig at Xbox Live's $50 price tag. Don't tell them this rumor, then: Sony will unveil a PSN Premium at E3 next month, and it will cost money.

Sony files patent for degradable video game demo
Posted on March 5, 2010 | No CommentsSony has filed a patent for a new type of video game demo that's worth mentioning here. Rather than your typical demo, where they give you level to mess around with, they essentially give you the whole game. As you play the demo, the game "disappears."

Posted on December 11, 2009 | No Comments
You’ll recall the ODROID as a phone-less Android device built for gaming. There’s an 833MHz CPU, 512MB of RAM, 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and HDMI output capable of pushing 720p video to a TV screen.

‘Endless Racing Game’ iPhone demo video isn’t endless, is endlessly entertaining
Posted on November 2, 2009 | No CommentsFiled under: Games
We're not going to bore you with details, but we are going to tell you that it's more than worth your while to watch this demo video for the iPhone title "Endless Racing Game." We can't attest to how fun (or not fun) the game is to play, but the clip is certainly worth your 90 seconds of attention. Check it out after the break.

Quo vadis, Forza Motorsport 3?
Posted on October 28, 2009 | No CommentsHow much you enjoy Forza Motorsport 3 entirely depends on the time you have to invest in it. If you’re able to put in the man-hours you’ll find a racing sim that’s a deep as you want it to be, and just as rewarding. If you’re only able to play a few minutes here and [...] -
Volkswagen ‘launches’ the 2010 GTI on the iPhone with Real Racing GTI game
Posted on October 22, 2009 | No CommentsTo call us a “car blog” would sorta be stretching the truth. Occasionally one of the guys—aka Matt Burns—will do a car story, yeah, but that's primarily because he thinks he's James May. I have no such illusions of grandeur; I'm just sitting at a desk typing things, and writing student loan checks… Before this gets any further off track, the news: Volkswagen has teamed up with the guys behind Real Racing, Firemint, <to “launch” the new 2010 VW GTI. By downloading the app to your iPhone or iPod touch, you can drive around—for free, mind you—the car you wish you owned.

Shock: The Gran Turismo PSP bundle isn’t half-bad
Posted on September 3, 2009 | No CommentsCredit to Sony for actually putting together a reasonably good PSP bundle. Starting on October 1, for $199, you can buy a bundle that includes the PSP-3000 (not the PSP Go, mind you), a copy of Gran Turismo PSP, a voucher to download a Corvette ZR1 in an exclusive-to-this-bundle color, a 2GB memory stick, a PSN movie downloadable voucher (movie hasn't been announced yet), and a Sony MusicPass that's worth 10 downloadable songs. Not too shabby.

You might be playing Uncharted 2 on September 30
Posted on July 13, 2009 | No CommentsI love how the word “leak” can apply to anything from Deep Throat to PS3 video game release dates. Such is life. Anyway, the release dates for several Sony video games has supposedly “leaked” to a French site. The big news: expect to see Uncharted 2 on September 30. Oh, and perhaps a Michael Jackson edition of Sing Star this fall.
