Avatar has made more than $1 billion. That’s a lot of dollars.
Posted on January 4, 2010 | No CommentsPretty sure none of us here ever said that Avatar would tank at the box office, but did we think it'd make a billion dollars in just a few days? I sure didn't! (To be fair, I never really gave the topic much thought.) But yes, wipe the look of shock off your face as it's now revealed that the James Cameron film made $1.02 billion in three weeks. That includes international receipts, too. That's a nice chunk of change.

MyStuff organizer: Keep track of important stuff
Posted on October 5, 2009 | No Comments
Receipts and warranty information have a tendency to get lost, usually when you need them most. You throw them all into a folder on your hard drive (or if your older than sin, a physical box), and have to search through countless PDFs and e-mails to find what you need. It might be a simple model number, purchase date, or even purchase price.
Minder Softworks has a fantastic piece of software that keeps track of all of your stuff, that is predictably titled MyStuff. MyStuff is a centralized location to keep all of the information relating to pretty much everything you have in your house. Okay maybe not everything, but close to it.

Bodega Launches Mac OS App Store
Posted on August 3, 2009 | No Comments
IDFusion Software, the company behind Bodega, today announces the first public release of Bodega, a free application store for Mac applications. Bodega is a free download, for both users and developers, and creates simple process for people to discover great, new and old software, while also giving the developers an alternative way to sell their applications.
The Bodega storefront also gives users links to press articles and blog postings, so they can see what writers have to say about the app. Bodega lets users purchase directly from developers as well. If the application is a paid app, you can download a free trial for most applications. If you are a developer, and would like to be included in the Bodega Store, IDFusion Software has setup a developer area with all the information needed.

Whoops. Philadelphia-area Gamefly members who have been wondering why in the hell they never got their rented copies of Cooking Mama finally have some answers. The culprit, 34 year old Reginald Johnson of Germantown, PA, stole some 2,200 Gamefly games while working as a mail-processing clerk between April and September of 2008.
