    I'm not sure if this device is really a waterproof flashlight with a video camera or a video camera with a bright light. Either way, it records video at VGA quality on a 4GB internal drive and sports a 1W LED flashlight. There's a USB port, rechargeable battery, and everything else that's supposed to be in a camera. But then it's shaped like a flashlight so I'm still not sure. All I know is with a price tag of $192.99, I really don't care. Click through for a video demo.

    Let's be honest for a moment: an awful lot of the stuff we cover here at CrunchGear isn't really necessary. All the silly USB gadgets, geek gizmos, and other doodads are fun to own, but don't make your life demonstrably better. So I was pretty excited when I was given the opportunity to review the Torch from Wicked Lasers. Billed as the world's brightest flashlight at a whopping 4,100 lumens, this seemed like the kind of thing that might be worth having. I mean, who doesn't like flashlights?     Ho ho ho, this may be the lowest price you’ll see on a new Flip MinoHD camcorder for a while. Amazon’s got them for $120, today only, down from $160. To be honest, Cisco just bought Flip and they’re expected to unveil some new products at CES (like, perhaps, Wi-Fi enabled camcorders?) so Flip might just be blowing these things out to make room for the new stuff. Either way, today you get a somewhat reasonably-priced pocket camcorder.
