Teased last month, announced [JP] today: Fujitsu took the wraps off a 3D desktop PC that has a quite unique selling point: it comes with a camera that lets users shoot pictures and video in 3D. Not a week passes without a Japanese company announcing a 3D-enabled device lately. Today, it's Toshiba, which just unveiled [JP] a 3D-capable notebook, the dynabook TX/98MBL. According to the company, it's the world's first notebook that lets you view 3D content stored on Blu-rays (next to playing NVIDIA 3D Vision games).

Wii remote used to control Windows Phone 7 app (in emulator)

So this is kinda cool. At the ReMix Australia event today, some dude used a Wii remote as an accelerometer for an app running on the Windows Phone 7 emulator.
There aren't many details available beyond that. It seems that WM Experts found out about it by watching a Twitter hashtag, so it's anyone's guess, really.

NEC to ship Blu-ray powered 3D PC in Japan next month

The company's faster than expected: just last month, NEC teased such a machine in Tokyo, saying it's likely to ship by October 2010. But Japan will get the PC as early as next month. And it appears to be a pretty cool machine.

Pioneer is about to release yet another iPhone-compatible speaker system. The company yesterday announced [JP] the XW-NAC1 in Japan, a speaker system that can connect to and alternately play music from two iPods or iPhones. The XW-NAC1 has two iPod/iPhone docks that charge these devices simultaneously.

New rescue robot pulls victims inside its body

Japan-based tool maker Kikuchi has developed a robo vehicle that can pull victims at disaster sites into its body. The obvious goal is to support human rescuers for whom it's too dangerous to reach injured people during certain emergency situations.

It's fairly easy to find exactly when most Americans started to get fat. All you have to do is go back to the 1950's. Some would say this is due to our fast food lifestyle, people spending too much time in front of the TV instead of running from animals, or even possibly a plot by Colonel Sanders.
