Hey, Sirius XM: Can you get your act together and fix your online stream? That would be neat.
Posted on June 21, 2010 | No CommentsHere's a “shout out” to the fine people at Sirius XM. You pay for a service with the expectation that it, you know, occasionally works as advertised, right? Not Sirius XM, the company that's fine with people overworking for years so long as they don't ask for a marginal(in the grand scheme of Howard Stern and Oprah and MLB contracts) raise! How many times per week does the online stream die? I'm thinking at least three to five times.

The Sony NEX-3 and NEX-5 leaked-out late last night and surprised the Internet with their down-right sweet styling. Well, Sony has gone and made the pair official, announcing the NEX-5 will retail for $650 with the NEX-3 fetching $550. The cameras have been in the works for some time and just as the press release was crossing the wires, the big camera sites published their hands-on reports. These aren't full reviews, but they definitely have some insight that cannot be gathered from a press release.

Posted on March 23, 2010 | No CommentsThese stand-alone media streamers... (That, or put together a full PC if you're feeling adventurous.) Be that as it may, let's just quickly highlight another option that's out there, the Nationite HDVP-2. Not the snappiest name in the world, no.

Posted on February 4, 2010 | No CommentsATI just released a new, super entry level graphics card that should placate, well, not hardcore gamers, but most regular people. It's the Radeon 5450. Like other 5000 series cards, it works with Eyefinity, meaning that you can spread the image across several screens, as this image swiped from Tom's Hardware shows.

Dash Cam does up to 48 hours of 720×480 recording
Posted on October 2, 2009 | No Comments
I bet that on your daily commute to work you've often thought to yourself, "Man, this is EXCITING! I wish other people could see what I see! Cars! Billboards! More cars! A truck!"
And while standard dash cams work well for run-of-the-mill vehicular lifecasting, their relatively low resolutions and short recording times make for a less than desirable compendium of your transportational adventures.

Posted on May 28, 2009 | No CommentsNine new ones not enough for you? Not if you're ViewSonic, who just came clean with three more in its rapidly expanding digital photo frame lineup. The 10.4-inch VFD1020, 8-inch VFD820 and 7-inch VFD720 make up the new TrueView line, which offers up a 4:3 aspect ratio and 2GB of internal memory. As for resolutions, the smaller two do their thing at 800 x 600, while the June-bound VFD1020 will kick things up to 1,024 x 768. Naturally, there's a multicard reader for loading multimedia, and the USB 2.0 port is bound to make friends with your impenetrable Iron Drive. The trio also ships with a remote control from mixing things up from afar, with prices set for $129.99, $89.99 and $79.99 in order of mention.Filed under: Digital Cameras, Displays
