This officially makes Target Amazon's first brick and mortar retail partner, although Target isn't new to the ebook game.

Posted on April 1, 2010 | No Comments
Right now there are only two Microsoft retail outlets, one in Phoenix, AZ and another in Mission Viejo, CA. These locations opened last year to much singing and dancing, but soon there will be two more. According to a job posting on Microsoft's site, Denver and San Diego will soon be home to their very own Microsoft Stores.

First round of iPads sold out, new pre-orders ship April 12th
Posted on March 27, 2010 | No Comments
Hope you got your iPad already pre-ordered because Apple has pushed back the shipping date for all new orders to April 12th. It's really not that surprising seeing as there have been reports stating Apple may already have 500,000 iPads in the bag. It might be quicker at this point to start camping Apple Stores or Best Buy if you *must* have an iPad the moment it's released. We know that retail outlets will at least have a small supply on April 3 to serve the Apple faithful.

San Francisco considers displaying phone radiation levels next to price tag
Posted on December 24, 2009 | No CommentsIf the San Francisco Department of the Environment gets its way, starting as soon as next month Bay Area residents might start noticing the radiation levels of cellphones displayed prominently next to their respective price at retail outlets. This is, of course, despite no definitive research that the handsets cause harm and the FCC's insistence that the devices sold to consumers are safe. The proposal is being endorsed by Mayor Gavin Newsom, who as it's noted is not about to stop using his iPhone anytime soon. Not to worry, Maine, you'll still keep the top spot for most ridiculous cellphone warning label.San Francisco considers displaying phone radiation levels next to price tag originally appeared on Engadget on Thu, 24 Dec 2009 02:49:00 EST. Gearbox talks Borderlands 2
Posted on November 11, 2009 | No Comments
In a recent interview, Mike Neumann from Gearbox software was asked about DLC and the possibility of a Borderlands 2. And while Gearbox was pretty vague about the future of the franchise, I sincerely doubt that any game that has been selling so well that we're seeing shortages, won't have a sequel.

Verizon’s CEO has been rocking the Storm 2 for weeks, demoing it to employees
Posted on October 14, 2009 | No Comments
The BlackBerry Storm 2 is no secret. We've known that a second generation touchscreen BlackBerry has been in the works for months. Actually it was probably RIM that "leaked" all the info in an effort to save face from the flop that is the original Storm. A NYT article quotes Verizon's CEO saying that he's been carrying the phone for weeks and been giving impromptu demos at Verizon Wireless retail outlets. Spoiler: employees like it.

If you're like me, you use your Xbox 360 to watch Netflix and other movies. It's relatively painless, but the controller doesn't exactly make the best remote for watching tv. Enter the X-Link, a universal remote control designed to work with the Xbox 360, as well as hundreds of other devices (since it is a universal remote control after all).
