MID Moves goes hands-on with the Viliv S10 Blade

Chippy, over at UMPC Portal, got to spend some quality time with the upcoming Viliv S10 Blade at IDF and seems impressed. That's saying something as previously he has reviewed the Viliv S5, X70, and currently has in house - like us - the S7. Personally I'm finding that the small form factor of the 7-inch S7 is the perfect netbook size, but some folks might like the bigger 10-inch screen the S10 Blade will offer. Plus, it seems even thinner. It's going to be a hot netbook, that's for damn sure. Anyway, hit up the read link and watch the video after the jump.

So I have been using the Viliv S7 regularly for about a week now and I have concluded that it is the best netbook I have ever used. But yes, it's a netbook. The S7 might have a touchscreen, convertible design, super long battery life, and a modest size SSD, but at the end of the day, it's a luxury netbook.

The Viliv S7’s battery gets tested in Korea

Viliv went all official on the S7 a couple of weeks ago. The hot convertible tablet definitely sparked my interest, especially the 4700mAh lithium polymer batter that is said to have up to 9.5 hours. That's hot. Well, some folks in Korea got their hands on the portable and put that battery to the test. The results really aren't that surprising.

Microsoft showing off Windows 7-powered Viliv S5 MID at Computex
Posted on May 31, 2009 | No CommentsBeing that Release Candidate 1 just hit the tubes, we weren't really expecting a big Windows 7 presence at Computex this year. Much to our surprise, Viliv has announced that it will be showcasing the first official Win7-powered MID at the Taiwan-based show later this week. The heralded S5 will be the lucky device, with a duo of WiMAX-equipped cousins (X70 EX and S7) hanging around to demonstrate live video streaming. Needless to say, we'll be doing everything we can to drop by and see how things are going.
