Hollywood should take notes from this fan-made Alien vs Predator flick: AVP Redemption
Posted on May 18, 2010 | No Comments
Apparently one dude spent 2 years and only $500 to make this 22 minute AVP video. The graphics aren't anything special, but what's important is that the story is solid and a lot more true to the saga than Hollywood's interpretations. Give it a go after the break. It's good.

Posted on May 12, 2010 | No Comments
Ok. I'm very nearly at the point where I don't want to keep posting on this, but I'm eternally optimistic, so here goes:
An internal Best Buy Document has leaked all over Android Central's best shirt, claiming that the Android 2.1 upgrade date for the eternally neglected Sprint Hero will be the 21st of May.

Japanese Twilight/New Moon DVD box includes a movie on microSD
Posted on January 19, 2010 | No Comments
Teenage movie sensations Twilight and New Moon have grossed over $1 billion at box offices worldwide so far (New Moon is still in theaters), and both movies have proven to be extremely successful in the world's second biggest movie market, Japan, too. That's perhaps the reason why the second movie (New Moon) gets a special treatment in this country, namely a huge and Japan-only DVD premium box.

Nook demo units showing up in stores, use this locator to find one near you
Posted on December 8, 2009 | No Comments
The Nook saga continues as demo units are reportable showing up in brick and mortar locations. Too bad there will not be any available for purchase until next month, but at least you can actually spend sometime with the dual-screen ebook reader before you pre-order now. Speaking of pre-orders, the website still lists January 15 as the expected ship date. I know, that's no fun.

C&C 4’s Crawler is part construction yard, part AT-AT, all awesome
Posted on October 13, 2009 | No Comments
The Command and Conquer saga is coming to a close with the forth installment - at least that's what they say. My hopes are high for the game too. After all, I've been playing the series from the very beginning (I still have the original box thankyouverymuch) and so far all the screenshots and videos have been stellar. But this video that describes the development and capabilities of the Crawler unit does it for me. This game will be tits. Anyone see somewhere I can pre-order it? Click through for the video.

He states in part that the Chevy Volt will fail because there isn’t enough idiots to pay a $15k premium for a car that [...] -
Verizon Wireless slashes most smartphone prices to $99
Posted on August 3, 2009 | No CommentsHuzzah! Verizon knows what's up. The prices of its smartphones have been slashed, cut, and discounted down to iPhone 3G levels. Every single smartphone - expect for the new BlackBerry Tour and Samsung Saga - can be had for $99 or less on-contract. This means that the HTC Touch Diamond, HTC Touch Pro, and Samsung Omnia are now only $99 straight up. It's like Verizon is talking right to those feed up with AT&T's shenanigans.

Review: Universal’s Fast & Furious Blu-ray iPhone app (It’s a start)
Posted on July 31, 2009 | No CommentsI have a secret to tell you. I’m a fan of the Fast & Furious franchise. Actually, the second one sucked really badly. But I’m not reviewing the fourth installment in the riveting saga here, just the Blu-ray iPhone app. So, is the app everything it’s cracked up to be? Well, it delivers on what [...] -
First Command & Conquer 4 screenshot appear
Posted on July 10, 2009 | No CommentsHave you been following the C&C4 news the last few days? Well, news that the title was under development “leaked” onto Twitter, which was followed up a few hours later by an official announcement from EA. But that stuff really isn’t news. Most could have guess that EA was working on another game in the [...]
