Amazing Twitter World Cup mash-up needs to be seen right now
Posted on June 11, 2010 | No CommentsWhew! Day One of the World Cup is now behind us, and I wanted to take a moment to point y'all in a particularly awesome direction. The Guardian, one of my recommend sites from yesterday's catch-all post, has a truly amazing Twitter mash-up that needs to be seen to be believed. What it does is analyze tweets that occur during a game, then it creates a dynamic chart that corresponds to said tweets.

Kudos to ESPN’s World Cup live stream
Posted on June 11, 2010 | No CommentsHere's a slight update to my World Cup "all you need to know" post from yesterday. I completely forgot to mention that ESPN3.com is streaming all the games live and totally for free. No need to mess around with shady P2P streams.

Apple screenshot confirms iWork coming to iPhone
Posted on June 7, 2010 | 1 CommentWell well, what's this? Our pal Stuart Miles at Pocket-lint spotted an interesting detail on one of Apple's iPhone 4 screenshots: an "Open in 'Keynote'" button while viewing an attachment in Mail. It's since been replaced by a shot that reads "Open in 'iBooks'," but it certainly seems like the iWork suite will eventually make it across the iOS range from the iPad. While we're not going to pretend like that's nearly a big a deal as Microsoft integrating Office into Windows Phone 7, it's still a welcome move, as we know more than a few people who'd like to make some work-type edits on the go. Why we didn't get a peek at this today we don't know, but we've got a feeling we'll hear more about it as June 21 gets nearer.Apple screenshot confirms iWork coming to iPhone originally appeared on Engadget on Mon, 07 Jun 2010 20:08:00 EST. Verizon Nexus One to rock HTC’s Sense UI?
Posted on March 12, 2010 | No Comments
Well, well, well -- lookie here. See that screenshot over there? (Click through for the embiggened version) That's allegedly a screen shot of the Verizon Nexus One spec sheet, right off of Verizon's Intranet Equipment Guide. Now, look a bit closer. About 10 bullet points down. See it? "Sense UI (User Interface)".
For those not keeping track, Sense is HTC's user interface mod for Android. It started off primarily as a much-needed visual overhaul, then came to include features like Flash in the browser. It's a pretty great addition to Android - and it's one thing that the currently available T-Mobile Nexus One is lacking.

Leaked: Alleged screenshot and details of iPhone OS 4.0
Posted on January 19, 2010 | No Comments
I could really write this post in all of about eleven words, and it would still have the same effect. It'd go something like this "Apple, leak, new iPhone OS, screenshots, multitasking, banshees, multi-touch gestures". However, I'm from the Internet, and we're paid by the word* around these parts.

More screenshots of Perfect Dark for Xbox Live.
Posted on December 29, 2009 | No CommentsThe Xbox Live Arcade port of Perfect Dark still carries that frustratingly (well...) vague "winter 2010" release date, but we're beginning to see more and more screenshots trickle out from wherever these things trickle out from. Who knows. Anyhow, there's a series of new screenshots on some dude's Photobucket that may interest you.
Barnes & Noble has just confirmed the NOOK Wi-Fi at $149, and a new lower price for its NOOK 3G model at $199.
Engadget had earlier today posted a screenshot sent in by a reader that effectively showed a Nook WiFi coming out on Wednesday at the now announced price point.
