Posted on May 30, 2009 | No CommentsNot wanting the Allspark to beat them to the punch, the gang at thinkingbricks has given life to an Apple G4 Cube, complete with LEGO Mindstorms NXT-borne retractable wheels, a Bluetooth controller, automation via sensors, and a creepy red LED. That transparent base really makes the wheel deployment much more dramatic, a nice touch if we do say so ourselves. There aren't any step-by-step instructions, but there should be plenty of information at the page if you're thiking of making your own as a weekend project. Woz says Jobs doesn’t sound sick

While scooting around All Things D on his Segway, Woz was heard screaming at the top of his lungs that his old buddy Steve Jobs “doesn’t sound like he’s sick,” or that he’s in a health crisis as Ben Charny of the WSJ says. OK, Woz wasn’t really on his Segway screaming, but he hasn’t directly asked Jobs how he was doing either.

Engadget arrives at D7!
Posted on May 26, 2009 | No CommentsYou know you're at the D conference (hosted by Walt Mossberg and Kara Swisher of All Things D) when you're chilling in the lobby of the Four Seasons and Woz and his wife peel up on tandem Segways. Yeah, it's going to be that kind of party. We're live on the ground at D7, and you can expect some pretty interesting coverage from us this week, including liveblogs of keynotes from Palm's Jon Rubinstein, Steve Ballmer, Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo of Nokia, and Mike Lazaradis from RIM. For now, though, we're going to soak in some of these beautiful rays and try to get a game of Segway polo going. A few more pics after the break.
