First impressions of the MSi X-Slim X600
Posted on August 28, 2009 | No CommentsHey, hey. Look what the Fedex man dropped off! Why it’s the sexy MSi X-Slim X600. His big, white truck is like Santa’s sleigh to me. Toshiba to finally release netbook in the US
Posted on June 1, 2009 | No Comments
While Toshiba's had netbooks out in Japan for a while (and Europe, recently) the company's been a wallflower here in the US, patiently watching as netbooks have evolved over the past year or so and taking notes in a leather-bound pad marked "Netbooks: Pros and Cons" that it carries around in its back pocket. Sure, it looks dumb when Toshiba takes out the pad in a restaurant to write down a new witty quote it's never heard before, but it's also helped in readying a US version of the NB200-series netbook.
If you’re looking for a middle-of-the-road desktop replacement without breaking the bank, you may find that Sony’s new VAIO E Series suits your needs. Starting at around $800, you get an Intel Core i3 CPU, 4GB of RAM, 500GB hard drive, HDMI out, Bluetooth, and Windows 7.
The A2 from ii-View is a 12-inch Windows 7 netbook with a 1280x800 resolution screen, 2GB of RAM, a travel weight of 3 pounds, and an MSRP of $399. Other features include an Intel Atom N270 CPU, 320GB hard drive, a/b/g/n wireless, HDMI output, webcam, and “full-size” keyboard. At its thickest, the machine reaches .88 inches.
