Ouch rumor: Project Natal will cost $150 stand-alone, part of $300 Xbox Arcade bundle this October

I sure hope for Microsoft's sake this isn't true. Word on the street is that Project Natal (which won't be the final name) will cost $150 and will launch in October. Considering Microsoft is aiming Natal at so-called casual gamers, what are the odds these people are going to shell out $150 to be able to play that paint-slinging game we've seen demoed over and over again?

McLaren MP4-12C: We live in a world where $225,000 cars are considered ‘affordable’

Watch out, Nicholas writing about cars, there's bound to be errors! (No different from anything else, really.) It's the McLaren MP4-12C, a £150,000 ($225,000) supercar that McLaren is actually positioning as "affordable." I mean, an Xbox 360 Arcade SKU is "affordable," maybe even a fancy gaming mouse when you consider what they do... Oh, I know who would consider this supercar affordable: people who play for Manchester City.

    Where are all the PS3s?

So this is odd. In reading up on Final Fantasy XIII, I decided to see how much it would cost to buy a PS3 and the game. The system is all but sold out all over the Internet! It’s backordered on Newegg, GameStop, and Best Buy (partially), and can be found on Amazon for quite [...]

HTC to sell 8 handsets through T-Mobile alone in 2010?

Making 8 different handsets is no big feat — Hell, Samsung will probably launch 4 or 5 by the time I’m done typing this post — but getting 8 handsets onto one carrier in one year? Not too shabby. That’s what HTC will be doing in 2010 with T-Mobile, says one of Boy Genius’ boys. It’s [...]

HTC Droid Eris allegedly already in stock — if you know who to talk to

Officially, the Droid Eris launches on November 6. Okay, officially officially, we don't know when it launches, because Verizon hasn't even yet admitted that it exists -- but we've got enough evidence built at this point to say with confidence that it's hitting shelves in all sales channels that day. We've just been tipped off, though, that the phone is already sitting in warehouses just waiting to ship out, and experienced Verizon customers know that you can occasionally dupe a rep into shipping you a SKU -- if you know it. Well, we've got it right here: ADR6200VW. Good luck, folks, and let us know how it goes.

80GB PlayStation 3s to be discontinued in Japan on August 9?
