The price is a bit higher then we'd all like, with an MSRP of $159.99 for the wireless version, and $119.99 for the wired version. They do look cool though, I like the choice between the Horde and Alliance artwork lit up on the sides.

And today the company announced the HA-FX700 [JP], earphones partly made of wood. And we have the same things coming with it again: JVC promising high sound quality and a relatively high price.

Verizon’s Razzle does the twist for us
Posted on October 7, 2009 | No CommentsFiled under: Handsets, Features, Others, Verizon Wireless, CDMA
We checked out Verizon's most unusual Razzle sourced from PCD at CTIA this week, and put simply, we're pretty sure there's a reason that this form factor is among the rarest. Twisting the bottom half of the phone to choose between QWERTY and a speaker with music controls just doesn't make a lot of sense unless you're constantly using the phone to play music that you want everyone around you to be able to hear -- and that's assuming you're okay with the sound quality and volume compromises you've got to make with a loudspeaker of this size. What really caught us off guard was the fact that the phone is bent about 15 degrees in the middle only in QWERTY mode; when you switch over to the speaker, it straightens out, though we're not sure what the use case logic behind that is. Anyhow, if you're just looking to own the weirdest phone on the block, the Razzle might just fit the bill -- and at least it won't break the bank.

Tokyo Game Show: Sega’s action game Bayonetta (video)
Posted on September 24, 2009 | No CommentsSega's third-person action game Bayonetta was playable today at the first day of the Tokyo Game Show, both on Xbox360 and PS3. The game looked fine on both consoles and features a bespectacled female ("Bayonetta") as the main character. Judging from the demo versions and previews I've read so far, Bayonetta isn't much different from other third-person action games like Devil May Cry.

Did The Beatles just screw up by not going to iTunes?
Posted on September 10, 2009 | No CommentsDid Apple swerve us, or are we just a bunch of nincompoops? (I vote for the latter.) So, so many people were expecting to see The Beatles finally show up to iTunes, if not the event itself, yesterday. Nearly 24 hours later, you're still unable to buy “Help!” from Steve Jobs' little store. Huge deal, or should we all just move on with our lives? And is the band making a mistake in ignoring the largest music store on Planet Earth?
