Careful, this TF2 Spy action figure might stab you in the back
Posted on April 28, 2010 | No Comments
This is just sweet. There's no other word for it. Ignore the comical knees and slightly more bulky build, that's the TF2 Spy. He has everything from the smirky grin to his cigerate to his various masks. It's classic.

Voice actor who played Half-Life 2’s Dr. Breen has passed away
Posted on March 25, 2010 | No CommentsRemember the rash of celebrity deaths last year? Well this one just affected me more than all of those combined. The voice actor who played Dr. Wallace Breen, of Half-Life 2 fame, has passed away. Sad news is sad.

Video: Spy + Pyro = ???
Posted on February 14, 2010 | No CommentsForgive me, I’m back on TF2 after a short stint playing Borderlands and Dead Space. (the latter is super lame, btw) But this cartoon is not only absolutely genius, it’s also very appropriate as today’s Valentine’s Day. Trust me, stick with the video until the end. It will certainly bring a smile to your face [...] -
Note to all Acer easyStore H340 WHS owners
Posted on December 5, 2009 | No Comments
Own a Acer easyStore H340 Windows Home Server? Don't be like me and spend countless hours trying to figure out why the hell the box keeps randomly shutting off. I spent the last two nights running spy sweepers and virus scans, pulling hard drives and swapping memory in search of a solution.I'm better than that.
What I should have done first is ask Google. She (that's right, I picture Google as a smart, but seductive, oracle) has all the answers as long as I know what to ask.

Android-powered Motorola Motus caught on film, apparently in the middle of an earthquake
Posted on November 19, 2009 | No Comments
There seems to be an unspoken style guideline amongst spy shot shooters: find the worst lighting possible, ditch the flash, and down 3-4 cups of coffee before snapping away. Unfortunately, the spy behind this shot of the Android-powered Motorola Motus played by all the rules.

Motorola Motus spied, snapped by the worst camera in history?
Posted on November 19, 2009 | No CommentsGiven what we've heard and seen so far, we wouldn't say we're "excited" about the upcoming Motorola Motus -- it's just a midrange Android set, after all, and the Droid has taught us that Moto's capable of so much more -- but a spy shot's a spy shot, and we'll take what we can get, right? We can't confirm the authenticity of this positively awful photo spotted on motofan.ru, but it looks roughly like what we'd expect for a 2010-spec Android phone designed to appeal to the masses. The usability of that trick keyboard is an open question -- the Droid has already proven that the company isn't afraid to sacrifice a little usability for +5 points in the thin and sexy departments, so we'll just have to wait and see where this puppy lands.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X3 gets caught on camera
Posted on October 19, 2009 | No CommentsThey say the best things come in small packages – and in this case, one of the things we’re looking forward to most over the next few months, Sony Ericsson’s Android-powered XPERIA X3, has come forward in a tiny, tiny picture. Yeah, don’t bother clicking that image over to the right. There is no larger [...] -
Mysterious HTC Android phone spied, might lean the way of the Dragon
Posted on October 18, 2009 | No CommentsIn an almost perfect world, this spy shot would be of the rumored HTC Dragon, reminiscent of the HD2 with a 1GHz Snapdragon processor and packing the latest version of Android / Sense UI -- in a more perfect world, this would all have been confirmed last week and in our hands today delivered via unicorn express, but that's obviously not happening. Still, there's something new and exciting about this device, but we're grasping at straws beyond the handful of pics The Unlockr managed to obtain, several more of which can found just beyond the read link.

Trust issues? This tiny clock has a built-in video camera
Posted on October 8, 2009 | No Comments
And now to finally get to the bottom of WHO DRANK MY LAST TAB?! This unassuming little clock tells the time and tells you who’s been breaking into your house at night to eat multiple peanut butter, lettuce, and pastrami sandwiches. It’s definitely not you sleepwalking.

Newegg’s Shell Shocker needs many exclamation points: Adobe Photoshop Elements for $49
Posted on August 31, 2009 | No CommentsNewegg has the most ridiculous names for its sales. For example, today we have SHELL SHOCKER, written in some aggressive-looking font, along with a picture of a broken shell, to drive home the theme. As for the deal itself, I spy Adobe Photoshop Elements for $49, a full 44 percent off the regular price.
