Motorola’s 4.3-inch Droid Shadow found in a unicorn gym?
Posted on May 25, 2010 | No CommentsColor us highly skeptical of the backstory, but Gizmodo claims to have received a picture of Motorola's rumored 4.3-inch Droid Shadow. The device above was supposedly left behind at a Verizon corporate gym in Washington. As the story is told, a gym employee managed to snap the photo above and identify an HDMI jack, 8 megapixel camera, Snapdragon processor, and 16GB of storage before the handset was remotely locked and the owner returned to claim it. Suspiciously, there's only one photo of the device shown at precisely the same angle as the supposedly leaked "getting started" image seen three days ago -- right, just enough time to cobble together a Photoshop. The refined Motoblur UI seems to align though so who knows... really, who knows?

Keepin’ it real fake: the Shanshui P72 is the oversized, XP-running iPhone you’ve always secretly wanted
Posted on May 11, 2010 | No CommentsA true iPhone KIRF running Windows XP may still be the stuff of dreams -- crazy, fevered dreams -- but it looks like we now have the next best thing: the iPhone-ish Shanshui P72. Boasting a 7-inch WVGA screen, this MID-sized device packs a 1.2GHz VIA C7-M processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB or 32GB of storage, WiFi and 3G connectivity, built-in GPS, and no less than three USB ports, which will let you attach a keyboard and mouse for an authentic Windows XP experience. Sadly, there's no indication of pricing or availability, but you can check it out in action in the video after the break, and get an extensive look at the device at the source link below.Keepin' it real fake: the Shanshui P72 is the oversized, XP-running iPhone you've always secretly wanted originally appeared on Engadget on Tue, 11 May 2010 19:34:00 EST. TomTom Go Live 1000 blurs the line between PND and connected tablet
Posted on April 27, 2010 | No Comments
The dedicated GPS market is slowly but steadily shrinking as smartphones gain the same abilities, but yet the major players keep rolling out new devices. The TomTom Go Live 1000 bucks the trend of a semi-smart connected device and instead adds a ton of storage on top of a powerful setup to run a WebKit-based UI along with a ton of connected apps. This just might be the PND we've been waiting for -- too bad it's a few years late.
