This is strange, even for a wireless carrier. Both the enV Touch and enV3 launched in May at $179 and $129, but then dropped down to $149 and $99, which is about right. After all, non-smartphones generally only stay at their original price for a few months. But now both of these phones are back up to their starting price. Why?

The first reaction most have to these Sony megachangers hasn't changed over the years. Just insert the name of the appropriate physical media. But yes, some people do own that many discs and so these changers make sense for them. Plus, while digital downloads are great and the future of the average consumer, there are still some folk that demand the absolute best picture and sound which only Blu-ray can provide. Electronic house had a chance to sit down with the ES Blu-ray changer and sent it through the paces.

For some reason, Japan has a thing for strange alarm clocks. Think of the helicopter clock, the Gun o' clock or the railroad sign clock, for example. And now major Japanese toymaker Banpresto follows up with an alarm clock that has the characteristics of a traffic light [link leads to Amazon Japan, the company hasn't set up a dedicated site for the gadget yet].

In what some would call a rather interesting move, Leica has decided to open it's first store in the U.S. in West Palm Beach, Florida. This is interesting because, well, let's face it, Leica is unapologetically not a bargain brand. They are also building a series of studios, classrooms, and other spaces to support the retail location.

Another MacBook Pro issue? ‘Clicking and beeping’ noises could be caused by hard drive conflict
Posted on July 10, 2009 | No CommentsYet another possible glitch affecting the MacBook Pro, this time having to do with “strange clicking and beeping noises.” It seems that several people with the 7200 RPM hard drive (the Seagate Momentus 7200.4) have reported those “clicking” issues, as well as general performance issues. Can't have that.
