You know what's awesome? Cookie dough ice cream. But when it comes to the smartphone market, the 18-month-old, steadily-growing Android platform is equally wondrous. Sure, Google may have a tiny bit of catching up to do when compared with Apple's market share, but at least Android users are already spoiled with a handful of good Twitter apps. Better yet, Twitter has now thrown in its official app to spice up the competition, so we thought it'd be interesting to put it head-to-head against the third-party clients. Why are people falling victim to Facebook scams?
Posted on December 14, 2009 | No CommentsThe beauty of essentially quitting social networking, as I have, is that I don't have to worry about all of the associated nonsense. “Facebook's new privacy settings cause uproar.” Really? Not if you quit the site it doesn't. “Malicious programs causing social network malaise.” Again, not an issue if you're not all-consumed with tweeting every 10 seconds about what you're eating for breakfast.

Victor JVC announces a very pretty, very thin home theater sound system
Posted on October 14, 2009 | No CommentsVictor JVC has announced [JP] a new home theater sound system for the Japanese market today, consisting of a set of two speakers (SP-FT1/FT2) and the corresponding amplifier (AX-FT1/FT2). And the system is very pretty, mainly because the speakers are just 30.8mm thin and weigh 0.85kg each.

We'll openly admit it: We haven't touched Verizon's V CAST video service in years. We tend to avoid most feature phones as if their outer casing is made of unstable explosives, and V CAST and smartphones don't tend to mix - until now.
