Tokyo Game Show: Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 for PS3 (gameplay video)
Posted on September 26, 2009 | No Comments
Koei Tecmo has a giant at this year's Tokyo Game Show, and their flagship title surely is Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 for PS3. It was playable and looked pretty cool. The same is true for Quantum Theory by the way (another Koei Tecmo action game) whose early version was impressive graphics-wise (but pretty buggy unfortunately).

Tokyo Game Show: Official (and gory) God of War III trailer
Posted on September 26, 2009 | No CommentsSony's God of War III for PS3 is playable at the Tokyo Game Show 2009, looks great and will go on sale in Japan in March 2010. The upcoming God of War Collection for the PS 3 (American version) will include a playable God of War III demo by the way (but the one seen at E3 2009).

Tokyo Game Show: Undead Knights for PSP (video)
Posted on September 25, 2009 | No CommentsI took the chance at Koei Tecmo's booth at the Tokyo Game Show and played Undead Knights on the PSP for a while. As the name suggests, the game is about zombies. And there are knights, lots of them, who you can turn into zombies and let them kill off enemies for you. Undead Knights is PSP-exclusive and will go on sale in Japan on October 15 (USA: September 29).

Posted on September 25, 2009 | No CommentsSony laid out its motion controller plans the other day at the Tokyo Game Show and mentioned that Resident Evil 5 and LittleBigPlanet would be the first games to take advantage of the system. Well, freaks and geeks, wanna see some actually gameplay? 'Course you do.

Tokyo Game Show: Resident Evil – Darkside Chronicles (official trailer with gameplay footage)
Posted on September 25, 2009 | No Comments
Resident Evil (Biohazard in Japan) - The Darkside Chronicles is an on-rails shooter that comes out in Nippon for the Wii on January 14. Instead of torturing you with the crappy video I took at the Capcom booth at the Tokyo Game Show, I give you the official trailer the fine people over at the Famitsu secured. It contains cut scenes, gameplay sequences and a few spoilers - you've been warned.

Tokyo Game Show: A look at the Square Enix, Xbox360 and Capcom booths
Posted on September 25, 2009 | No Comments
I posted some pictures of Sony's and Ubisoft's booth at this year's Tokyo Game Show yesterday, but booth-wise, Square Enix, Microsoft (Xbox 360) and Capcom made quite a strong showing, too. Here's some proof.

Tokyo Game Show: Winning Eleven (Pro Evolution Soccer) 2010 trailer
Posted on September 24, 2009 | No Comments
In its newest incarnation, Konami's best-selling soccer game Winning Eleven (known as Pro Evolution soccer outside Japan) is as great as ever. I played the Xbox360 version with a friend in two-player mode (but PS3 owners will get to play Winning Eleven 2010, too).

Tokyo Game Show: Sega’s action game Bayonetta (video)
Posted on September 24, 2009 | No CommentsSega's third-person action game Bayonetta was playable today at the first day of the Tokyo Game Show, both on Xbox360 and PS3. The game looked fine on both consoles and features a bespectacled female ("Bayonetta") as the main character. Judging from the demo versions and previews I've read so far, Bayonetta isn't much different from other third-person action games like Devil May Cry.

Tokyo Game Show: How Resident Evil 5 looks on an Alienware PC (video)
Posted on September 24, 2009 | No Comments
Alienware announced yesterday they will “shake the gaming world to its foundation” at the Tokyo Game Show 2009. Well, the show started today, I went there and played Resident Evil 5 (and a bunch of other titles, for example Streetfighter 4) on Alienware hardware. I'm not sure if the gaming world is really that different when compared to yesterday, but all the games did look damn impressive on the Alienware notebooks and desktop computers.

Tokyo Game Show: First impressions and a look at Sony’s and Ubisoft’s booth
Posted on September 24, 2009 | No Comments
I just came back from this year's Tokyo Game Show and must say I am pretty disappointed with the show this year. There were hardly any highlights, Sony didn't show their motion controller anywhere after the announcement during their keynote (picture of the device below/more info later) and staff members often didn't let me shoot any pictures or videos (which I did anyway if there was the chance).
Here are some pictures from two booths of the show. The picture on the left shows the final event of the first day (Sunday is the final day). More material from the Tokyo Game Show follows today and tomorrow.

Leaked: Alienware has new M15x and desktop gaming rigs for TGS
Posted on September 22, 2009 | No CommentsWell, that’s no fun. We just posted the Alienware teaser this morning that states the company was going to introduce new kits at the Tokyo Game Show and the systems have already leaked. According to an Engadget tipster, Alienware has a new Area-51 m15x and four Aurora / Area-51 ALX systems at the show. All we [...] -
Alienware to “shake the gaming world to its foundation” at the Tokyo Game Show
Posted on September 22, 2009 | No CommentsThere are few companies that can actually fulfill a statement as commanding as “to shake the gaming world to its foundation.” I believe Alienware is one of them. The company has pushed the high-performance gaming envelope for as long as it has been around. If Alienware says that they have something special, I’m inclined [...]
One of the biggest titles of this year's Tokyo Game Show is certainly Metal Gear Solid - Peace Walker for the PSP. And it's all about multiplayer. I was able to play the game with a friend (in co-op mode) for about 15 minutes and it completely rocked (the game was playable for the first time). In fact, up to four players could play at the same time (and some TGS guests did).
