Want to buy that car from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off?
Posted on April 1, 2010 | No CommentsBeat City, baby. The famous Ferrari from Ferris Bueller's Day Off is being auctioned off. It's not a real Ferrari, mind you, since the movie's producer's couldn't actually afford to pay for only to have it crash in Cameron's back yard.

FIOS packages strike your fancy?
Posted on January 19, 2010 | No CommentsVerizon has a bunch of new FIOS packages that may interest you. The top of the pile is the Ultimate package, which gives you "90 or more" HD channels, plus an Internet connection of 35/35, which is 35 mbps download, 35 mbps upload. The upload speed is impressive, but I still have triple the download speed. (I seriously run at 11 MB/s when downloading from Usenet. It's almost unnecessary how fast it is.) This top package is $149 per month.

Quo vadis, Forza Motorsport 3?
Posted on October 28, 2009 | No CommentsHow much you enjoy Forza Motorsport 3 entirely depends on the time you have to invest in it. Posted on October 23, 2009 | No Comments
It's almost like someone got their Top Gear in my Mythbusters lately. First the duct tape holding up a car, and now the 'golf ball' effect on mileage. So what exactly does happen when you cover a car with clay, and then dimple it like a golf ball?

Top Gear to finally be shot and produced in HD
Posted on September 23, 2009 | No Comments
Top Gear is a CrunchGear staff favorite. Even Nicholas who always proclaims he knows nothing about cars and Devin, our resident, van-driving hipster, watches the show regularly. High definition was the only thing missing from the broadcast. But that's set to change for season 14

Video: I never did think I’d see Kimbo Slice yelling at a caterpillar for Symantec, but here we are
Posted on September 20, 2009 | No CommentsEven casual fight fans know that last night was UFC 103 and Mayweather vs. Marquez. No spoilers here, of course, but I do encourage you all to, I don't know, buy the replays or find them wherever you find things these days. While on the topic of mixed martial arts, full credit to whatever marketing company put this ad together for Norton Anti-virus. Yes, that's Kimbo Slice, and he's admonishing a caterpillar.

Eight Cylinders of Pencil-Sharpening Action, And a Pizza Cutter
Posted on June 23, 2009 | No CommentsToday’s “waste of plastic” award goes to two items. A tag-team of tat, if you will. In the red corner, we have the Top Gear V8 Pencil Sharpener, a product with such a dearth of features that one of the spec-sheet bullet points reads “It is made of plastic.” It’s exactly what you’d expect: an electric [...]
