T-Mobile’s LG Sentio launching on June 30
Posted on June 8, 2010 | No CommentsLG and T-Mobile had only been committing to a Summer release for their three-pack of new models, but now we've got a little more guidance on the most notable of the trio. The Sentio -- a low-end full touchscreen dumbphone with 3G and social networking goodies on board -- will be available on June 30 in all channels, so if you're a "connected socializer" aged 16 to 29 who's "in search of their first touchscreen phone," you might have a look. As long as you're cool with navy blue paired with silver accents, anyhow.

BlackBerry Bold 9800 slides open, shows off promising WebKit-based browser
Posted on May 21, 2010 | No CommentsWe've known RIM has had a WebKit-based browser in its rear pocket since Mobile World Congress, and with confirmation that BlackBerry OS 6.0 would have traces of WebKit throughout, this discovery was simply inevitable. The BlackBerry Bold 9800 (polarizing design and all) has just made its most interesting appearance yet, this time showing off a purported WebKit-based web browser with a trio of tabs collected up top. Never mind the fact that whoever was using this clearly wishes he / she was browsing on an iPhone -- it's the 100/100 Acid3 test result that really titillates. 'Course, that could very well be a JPEG loaded up to fool us all, but we aren't losing the faith just yet. Head on down to the source for a few more teases.

LaCie intros Core4 and Core7 USB hubs, various HDD bags

Up first, we've got the Core4 and Core7 USB hubs, both of which are modeled after the Sam Hecht-designed LaCie Little Disk. As the model names indicate, the Core4 includes four USB ports and a built-in mini-USB cable, while the Core7 packs six USB sockets as well as a built-in extractable mini-USB cable. Both devices are shipping now in Warm Gray, Blue and Orange for $9.99 and $19.99 in order of mention. In related, somewhat less titillating news, the company is also introducing three new lines of mobile and desktop hard drive bags: the LaCie Cover, LaCie Coat and LaCie Cozy. The trio arrives in a rainbow of hues and models for 2.5- and 3.5-inch HDDs, with prices starting at $8.90. Huzzah?
