Snuggle Suit: It’s a robe with pants

If you’ve been following Snuggie news as closely as I have, you’ll definitely have noticed that most, if not all, Snuggie knock-offs are far superior to the original. Take this Snuggle Suit, for instance. It’s $20 and you could wear it as an actual outfit around many parts of New Jersey without getting a second look.

  • Steam has a great deal on the complete Jedi Knight collection

Steam has a great deal on the complete Jedi Knight collection

Okay, who here hasn't played one of the Jedi Knight games? No one? That sounds 'bout right. Let me just say that the series is one of the best of all time. The story line rich, the graphics always top notch for their time, and it's Star Wars. What's not to like? Do you yourself a favor, throw on some trousers and hop onto Steam where you can buy the complete series for $20; most of us are buying it. Sure, a few of the games might be aged, but the latest one, Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, doesn't look terrible by today's standards.

    Unidentified red Pentax DSLR spotted

Hello, red. I’m thinking that this unidentified Pentax is probably a limited edition K2000d or the unannounced K-x. You may recall that the company also has the limited edition white and olive drab models too. The red might not be for everyone, but damn, it’s kind of hot. We’ll probably get more info shortly so [...]

  • These are the worst sci-fi costumes ever

These are the worst sci-fi costumes ever

You better act fast if you don't have a Halloween costume. I'm still debating mine: it's between being an Apple fanboy (dress up as an apple (with green trousers and shoes to keep it real), then wear a fan as a hat) or a death panel board member, which will play well in super liberal Manhattan. (Health care joke! Tip your waitress.) What you don't want to do, however, is dress up like any of these guys.

  • Is Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol the first e-book to outsell its hardcover counterpart?

Is Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol the first e-book to outsell its hardcover counterpart?

What's the one area of technology that I'm still relatively keen on? That's right: e-books, but that's because I like the idea of having several books on my person at all times in a device that fits inside my trousers. (The latest: The Wages of Destruction by Adam Tooze. Not an e-book, by the way, since I'm not made of money.) Devin, on the other hand, who also reads his share of books, is not as big a fan of the tech. We're like The Odd Couple! Anyway, I bring this up because it looks like Dan Brown's latest novel, The Lost Symbol, is the first book on record that is selling better on the Amazon Kindle than its hardcover counterpart. (Blah, blah, the death of books...)

There will be a Halo 3: ODST Xbox 360 bundle

Halo 3: ODST is coming out on September 22, 2009 but you may wanna wait for the bundle pack if you're in need of a new system. Well, maybe as it's only announced in countries that use the PAL TV standard as of now. But if it gets a US release, you can bet your trousers that some gamers will jump on the bundle.

T-Mobile: Give us an old phone, we’ll give you a rebate

Let’s try a little something here: dig into your trousers and pull out your cell phone. Does it work? If the answer is “yes”, then congratulations — T-Mobile wants to give you a price break on a new phone. According to a tweet put out by the folks in magenta, you could get up to $50 [...]

CrunchDeals: Creative Vado camcorder for $40

The Vado’s about a half-inch thick and weighs just three ounces. Video is captured as AVI clips using the MPEG-4 codec. It’s not the most advanced camcorder in the entire [...]

  • Comcast to rape subs even more by raising cable modem rental fee to $5 nationwide

Comcast to rape subs even more by raising cable modem rental fee to $5 nationwide

Apparently Comcast is in dire financial straights. If America's largest cable provider doesn't raise the cable modem rental fee to $5 from $3, it will not be able to roll out the faster Internet service, DOCSIS 3.0, and the executives won't be able to get new trousers. Sure, the provider had enough cash to build a massive skyscraper and an impressive HD video wall in Philadelphia, but if you want faster Internet, some folks are going to have to pay more. It's probably a good idea to point out that you can save a lot of money by purchasing your own cable modem.

Buffalo mayor beats the trousers off his opponent by promising new flat screen TVs to seniors

What's the best way to ensure that you win the Buffalo mayoral primary? Why, by promising an entire voting bloc brand new flat screen TVs! Byron W. Brown just won the Democratic primary (he's unopposed in November, so this victory means he just won the mayorship), and you can see him here (around the 50 second mark) promising to help seniors out by installing a new TV.
