Pre-ordered your iPhone 4 at Radio Shack? Sucks to be you – UPDATE
Posted on June 23, 2010 | No Comments
We're getting reports from some folks who tried to work around the massive fail-up during last week's pre-order fiasco and pre-order from Radio Shack, Best Buy, and Wal-Mart. The reports aren't good.
It seems that most stores will not have them in stock tomorrow and that you should probably check with your pre-order store before you head down. One reader, DW, writes:
Hello, I just wanted to let you guys know that I spoke with the Manager of the RadioShack store that I pre-ordered my iPhone from and he let me know that none of the customers who pre-ordered an iPhone 4 would be getting one from his store tomorrow (Thursday).

iPhone 4: Already Sold Out at Walmart..in Saline, Michigan
Posted on June 22, 2010 | No Comments
Looking for a new iPhone near Saline, MI? Too bad. Walmart already sold the one unit they received. When I inquired about the new device, the man on the phone stated, "We received one unit already, but we sold it to see how fast it would sell out. We aren't sure when we are getting more."

iPhone 4 arrives at Walmart (update: and Best Buy!)
Posted on June 22, 2010 | No CommentsCheck out that sweet, sweet box. Yes folks, we seem to have received our very first in-the-cardboard picture of the retail iPhone 4 out in the wild. We don't work at Walmart, so we can't verify this one for ourselves, but our tipster says Apple's latest phone has just landed in the big box retailer's storehouses.
P.S. -- Before you start frothing at the mouth, the CDMA coding on the box in the background relates to an LG 290C handset also stocked by Walmart.
Update: A shot of a Best Buy arrival is past the break.Continue reading iPhone 4 arrives at Walmart (update: and Best Buy!)

iPhone 4 Already Sold Out? FML
Posted on June 15, 2010 | No Comments
Well this comes as a surprise. After fighting all day to order the new iPhone, I gave up, and decided to wait until tomorrow. That is, until I read that the entire pre-order allocation was already sold out. How was anyone able to buy the phone much less buy up every single one?

Sprint cans employee for leaking EVO 4G sales numbers
Posted on June 14, 2010 | No CommentsThe tales surrounding the launch of the EVO 4G have been intriguing, to say the least. On June 4th, the device launched. By June 7th, Sprint was touting the phone’s sales as mammoth, claiming that it had broken their previous one-day sales records (as held by the Samsung Instinct and Palm Pre) by as much [...] -

Sprint officially kicks off sales of the HTC EVO 4G
Posted on June 4, 2010 | No Comments
"History will be made across the nation as anxious customers get their hands on America’s first 3G/4G wireless phone, HTC EVO 4G, packed with industry-leading features."
A little over the top right there, but anyway: you can now purchase the HTC EVO 4G at Sprint.com, Sprint retail stores, at RadioShack, Best Buy and Walmart. The device sells for $199.99 with a two-year service agreement and after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new line activation or upgrade.

Walmart feeling the EVO 4G hype, to sell the superphone for $199 sans mail-in rebate
Posted on June 2, 2010 | No CommentsThe EVO 4G is an awesome phone — besides the short battery life — and a lot of people are ready to jump on the 4.3-inch Android superphone when it launches on this Friday. Walmart officially cuts iPhone 3GS to $97, potentially clearing out inventory for the iPhone 4?
Posted on May 24, 2010 | No CommentsWell, this is intriguing: Walmart just officially announced that it'll be selling the 16GB iPhone 3GS for $97 starting Tuesday, a full $100 off the regular price. Given the high probability that Steve Jobs will introduce the thoroughly-leaked next-gen iPhone when he gives the WWDC 2010 keynote on June 7th, the price cut seems like either an attempt to clear out remaining inventory or a way to slide the 3GS down the line to replace the $99 8GB iPhone 3G -- a move which would corroborate some whispers we've heard today that the 3G is no longer being shipped to stores. Either way, the 3GS just got a lot cheaper, which is never a bad thing, but we'd still say potential iPhone owners should wait a couple weeks and see what's coming next.
