    Will technology defeat The Three Lions (that's England, or course) at the World Cup this year? Maybe, but then again, maybe the injuries to Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand, Ashley Cole, and Wayne Bridge will have a role to play as well. There's a fun story in the Daily Telegraph that details Algeria's plan to use technology to defeat England at the World Cup, which begins on June 11. Incidentally, Algeria and England, along with Slovenia, are in Team USA's group, so put on your Uncle Same t-shirts and get ready to chant USA! USA! till your throat it sore.

    My fellow Americans! I just wanted to let you know that, yes, there are other countries in the world (WHAT?!), and none of them give a damn about the Madden franchise. EA just revealed that FIFA 10 (which I haven't played, but that's OK; I hear it's good) is the fastest selling sports game of all time! So says a fancy e-mail we just received.     Finally! We now know who will be on the cover of EA's FIFA 10. Well, the European versions, at least. In the UK you'll find Manchester United's Wayne Rooney, Chelsea's Frank Lampard, and Arsenal's Theo Walcott.

    EA Sports will release FIFA 10 on October 2 for every system ever created by man, including the PS3, PS2, Xbox 360, and Nintendo DS. (It'll be the last FIFA game for the PS2.) Wayne Rooney will be on the cover of the UK version of the game, but I have no idea who will be on the American version. Lord knows MLS isn't exactly a world-class league.
