    Whoa there. Blizzard just announced that its Battle.net service will soon hook into Facebook, "linking the world's premier online gaming platform with the world's most popular social platform." The synergy begins with the release of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, which is currently scheduled for release in July.

    I think by now we're all fairly familiar with Shapeways and their 3D printing system. Incidentally, you can now select glass for some 3D models at Shapeways, which is pretty cool. But the additive printing process employed by Shapeways and similar outfits (fabrication, rapid prototyping, etc) has some inherent limitations in the designs that can be printed. Researches at the University of Illinois have announced some advances in this field using folding techniques similar to origami

    In lieu of an actually interesting collection of words and punctuation marks, I present this debate that has nothing to do with us: the weather in China. It seems that they've figured out how to control the weather over there using super-duper technology called cloud seeding. You may have heard of it. The problem is that officials there are blaming scientists for causing a major snowstorm; more snow is expected in the coming days. Basically, it's snowing too much, too early, and the powers that be aren't happy.
