I have bad eyes. A lot of nerds do and I can unforunatly see myself needing something like this before I leave this earth. But I’ll be damned if I pay $149.95 for it at Hammacher Schlemmer. I’d rather learn braille.
But for $149 you get a device the size and shape of a computer mouse. It uses the power of the wireless gods to transmit whatever it see to a nearby base station. Said base station then outputs the image to a TV or monitor for easier reading. Magnification ranges from 10x on a 14-inch TV to a 28x on a 32-inch TV to 1408x on Panasonic’s 103-inch plasma. (not really)
